Fundraising events have always been an important part of the BTA’s activities. The aim of these events is to give BTA members an opportunity to meet up, have an entertaining evening and of course also raise some money to help fund our activities. We have recently also found it a good way of bringing in new members to the BTA. In addition to our annual Tagine and Quiz evening we held a a remarkably successful “60s & 70s Revival Party”. This is the sort of event that we expect to hold on an occasional rather than annual basis.
COMMUNITY ACTIVITY
In other activities we continue to support our local community and we see providing support to the youngest in our community as an important priority and in particular for children at the Beaulieu Village Primary School.
In 2019 we were delighted to fund a new programme at the school to help teach French to Key Stage 2 children (ages 7-11).
We look forward to future opportunities to work with the school in developing the children's knowledge about the language and culture of the twinning communities with which we are linked.
